This position is based out of our Rocklin, CA headquarters. This is not a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

Here's what you will be doing:

 

  • Partner with the members of the Donor Engagement Team to organize and execute high-quality events that have a clear purpose and expected outcome.
  • Work with the Vice President of Donor Engagement and the two Directors of Donor Engagement to plan stewardship events or prospect events in conjunction with EMF national events such as the Fan Awards and the K-LOVE Cruise;
  • During events, the Planner will serve a “behind the scenes,” role, orchestrating a smooth sequence of events, delivery of services and technical support. The Planner will always be thinking 5 steps ahead to ensure details are well executed.
  • Facilitate post-event discussions with applicable members of the team focused on factors for success, problems or hurdles related to events with a focus on rating the event’s effectiveness in achieving stated goals.
  • Develop and leverage relationships with, for example, catering support services, A/V equipment contractors, florists, and various venues’ management, to ensure adequate support and flawless event execution.

Qualifications

Here's some characteristics and qualifications we are looking for:

 

  • Proven success creating, implementing and executing major events.
  • Communication is key; excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Building strong relationships with a diverse group of individuals is a must.
  • Calm under pressure!
  • Creative, technology forward, flexible, have an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiating and problem solving skills.
  • Must be resourceful, have good time management and a PASSION for the mission of K-LOVE & Air1.
  • Strong computer skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
