The Senior Network Promotions & Events Manager - West Coast is a regionally based position providing oversight and leadership for Events Team Representatives and is responsible for the promotion and positive representation of K-LOVE and Air 1 within an assigned territory. The Senior Network Promotions & Events Manager mentors other Lead Event Reps and develops strong relationships to ensure a strong “presence” within the community; and enhance ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners and committed donor partners.  This position acts as the eyes and ears of the Network, Local Promotions & Events Director within the assigned region and is an important conduit to how the Director communicates with the Events Team.

Strategic Planning

  • Oversee strategic planning and implementation for assigned Events Team, with a focus on department goals, timelines, budgets, communication, results tracking, and celebration.
  • Assess department performance against both annual goals and plans. Provide strategic recommendations based on operational analysis, research, and projections, cost identification and allocation, and resource analysis.
  • Provide leadership for the department function and department Team, ensuring ministry wide collaboration and communication, facilitating appropriate resolution of issues and competing priorities. Ensure alignment of department Initiatives with Ministry objectives


  • Provide leadership for the remote Events Team Offices within assigned region. Lead by example in demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. Provide strategic and day-to-day management for assigned team, ensuring alignment of goals and ministry initiatives.
  • Proactively influence our culture, leading by example in demonstrating collaboration, empowerment, innovation, creativity and service, while being a faithful witness on and off the job of EMF’s mission to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.
  • As a member of leadership, contribute to long term planning and vision implementation through identification of strategic promotion and engagement initiatives, collaboration, prioritization, communication, and evaluation of results, while preserving EMF’s reputation for integrity and excellence.
  • Engage Leader on department issues, trends, and proposals for strategic initiatives and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Ministry Partnerships, Donor Engagement and other departments.

Role Specific:

  • Recruit and develop staff by evaluating performance, providing coaching, training and mentoring opportunities in order to maximize staff performance and professional growth.
  • Equip assigned Events Team members with appropriate training and development. Ensure the training provided results in quality and consistency of “brand messaging.”
  • Encourage and support local market teams to develop and build relationships within the community that result in promotional partnerships that align with/grow target market.
  • Help to plan, develop, participate in, and evaluate local promotional events in office markets.  Proactively stay informed of, and when needed participate in, community, church, and major city events. Strategically and creatively evaluate and plan participation for the strongest impact.  Ensure consistency and excellence in “our message” and brand presentation.
  • Utilize strong, high-level conceptual thinking to create Promotions that can be brought to live via campaigns across multiple platforms (on-air, digital, social media, etc.).
  • Proactively suggest and create new and innovative ways to reach potential listeners and spotlight K-LOVE and Air 1. Examples of these may be event sponsorships, speaking engagements, arrangement of testimonials, concert in the park, contest cards, pens, etc. Proactively suggest grass roots and Guerrilla Marketing techniques, and share success stories with the extended team as appropriate.
  • Develop original simple, direct, warm copy, concepts, scripts, ideas, and pitches that are compelling and reflect the brand’s strategy/brand voice and feel, and that are relevant to the brands audience.
  • Help local teams to work with promoters and ministries to promote events that are consistent with the format and audience for K-LOVE and Air 1. Look for ways to promote EMF stations at these events through displays, stage presence, and other creative options.
  • Partner with Brand Managers to ensure consistency and integrity of brand communication and events that may have a national tie-in and/or involve national organizations (record companies, large ministries), etc.
  • Collaborate with the programming and the marketing teams to making clear communication a priority along with creative development and attention to the details for all facets of Promotions for the networks.
  • Strongly collaborate with key internal partners such as VP of Radio, Program Director, Music Director, Digital Media Team on all promotional activities for the networks. 
  • Develop Promotional calendar under the direction of the for K-LOVE/Air1 under the direction of the Director of National and Local Events to achieve national and local market objectives within the Board approved budget.
  • Ensure that local offices develop a team of approved volunteers to partner in positively representing K-LOVE and Air1 and assist with promotional activities at appropriate events and concerts.
  • Ensure that local office teams consistently develop and maintain ongoing calendar of events (at least 3-6 months in advance) to plan and direct activities to promote the stations.
  • Participate in local market travel as needed in the mentoring process of local office teams.
  • Maintain professional competency, knowledge and skills through commitment to continuing professional development and training.



  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in marketing, customer relations, or brand management in broadcast, media or related industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years of staff management and leadership experience to include staff planning, recruitment, supervision, coaching, performance management and evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives with a strong understanding of listener and market dynamics, metrics, and requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of events promotional techniques, and radio promotions experience highly desired.
  • Proven track record and thorough understanding of strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience and skill creating a contagious enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
  • Willingness to travel and work alongside a national team of events professionals.
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business, public relations, or equivalent experience. 


This position reports to Director of National, Local Promotions & Events. Direct reports consist of Lead Event Team Reps (5), West Coast.


Employment Requirements :

  • Must pass a pre-employment reference and background screen
  • Proof of valid drivers license and acceptable driving history report
  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
