Are you curious what goes on behind the scenes in radio?


Then you'll definitely want to throw your hat in the ring for this internship!


Here, you'll spend time in critical areas of our radio station such as, The Shop, learn about the equipment that allows us to do what we do, and work on it as well. Putting together racks, configuring equipment and maybe even build a satellite up-link!  Our Command Center (The NOC), monitors operations of EMF’s radio networks. You will partner with Engineers and Broadcast Techs to ensure EMF programs are broadcast in compliance with FCC guidelines at the highest level of quality. (See pic below) In addition, you will spend time with our SAT team, (the head-end side of engineering), learning about studio up to satellite technology.

You’ll be working in an awesome environment with a team that is committed to serving Christ in all that we do.  This paid internship will be 40 hours a week for 10 weeks, from June 18, 2018 to August 24, 2018. Throughout the course of this internship, you’ll learn from and be mentored by our team of mentors, gaining knowledge of the media industry and business acumen to better prepare you for the business world which lies ahead of you. 


This internship will be at our headquarters in sunny Rocklin, CA.  


Qualified candidates will be:

  • A current student in their third or fourth year of college. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A desire to enter the field of Broadcast Media, Radio, or similar. 
  • Hands on or conceptual knowledge of networking, be technically minded, hands-on.
  • If you love taking things apart just to learn how to put them back together, that's ideal.
  • Analytical, love problem solving with a natural curiosity for how things work. 
  • Able to listen effectively, respectful of others’ perspectives and contributions, and be able to both offer and accept feedback openly.
  • Passionate for learning and have a desire to help others.
