Reporting to the Vice President of Programming Operations, the Newsroom Manager oversees day to day logistical operations of the EMF newsroom. This would include ensuring that day to day shifts are covered, newsroom equipment needs are maintained, provide direction to newsroom staff on local news breakaways as needed. During times of national crisis, the Newsroom Manager would assign anchor talent to deliver network branded newscasts. Additionally, this role requires consistent collaboration with EMF’s Public Affairs Content Manager, News Feature & Digital Content Manager and Manager of Traffic & Board Operations in performing various duties, some of which are outlined below.
