Overview

The Design Project Manager will work collaboratively with the Art Director, Creative Director, Vice President of Marketing, and the Design Studio team. This role manages schedules, arranges assignments, communicates progress to all Team Members, prepares action plans, and gathers necessary resources. The Design Project Manager (DPM) makes sure the lines of communication and the status of projects are clear between creative Team Members, producers, and stakeholders.  The DPM helps manage the distribution and availability of Brand Assets and all print pricing and ordering. Ultimately, this role will provide any support necessary to help ensure our Design meets quality standards and are completed on time and within budget. Success for this position is a more orderly clear process, with video deliverables completed on time and with excellence.

 

Here's some of what you will be doing:

  • Ensure project success through coordinating tracking and reporting; managing the set-up; monitoring progress and addressing potential issues with leadership; measuring and reporting on project performance; and serving as the point of contact for project participants.
  • Use EMF approved productivity and collaboration tools to track project deliverables, track workload and assignments, and administer core duties.
  • Schedule Design Member assignments based on availability and workload.
  • Adhere to pre-defined workflows and processes, and willingly helps stakeholders adhere to following the procedures.
  • Coordinate leadership communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, and interfacing with Team Members, partners, and vendors.
  • Schedule and facilitate Creative Brief meetings. Be able to clarify meeting purpose, desired outcome, and process.
  • Provide support to brand asset management ensuring assets are properly cataloged and templates are maintained.
  • Work with Art Director and Senior Designers to update and maintain online brand guides for all brands.
  • Gather specs for print projects, obtain quotes, and manage the production process with vendors.
  • Help proof team design work to assure accuracy and adherence to project specs.
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele.
  • Perform various team and project tasks as assigned.

Here's some experience we are seeking: 

  • AA Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience. (Experience working for a church/ministry, production house or student position at University, desired.)
  • Basic understanding of design production (fonts, colors, etc.) required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with ministry-specific programs and software.
  • Prior work experience in a design production or marketing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in print production and print ordering, preferred.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties. Ability to hold all parties accountable to project deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities. Detail oriented and possess strong follow through.
  • Possess solid time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Be a “people person” interacting with internal clients.
  • Highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
