From monitoring alerts to supporting infrastructure and learning the ins and outs of RF and IP systems, this role is your gateway to mastering the tech behind the mission. This is a fully on-site position based in Franklin, TN.  

 

As a Network Systems Technician, here are a few things that you'll be doing...

  • Monitor network alerts and support basic system health across the national broadcast and IT infrastructure using remote control platforms and network monitoring tools.
  • Assist in troubleshooting audio, RF, and control systems by following standard diagnostic procedures and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Perform support tasks such as cable fabrication, labeling, soldering, and minor equipment-level repairs (e.g., XLR, RJ45, BNC cabling) under supervision.
  • Document work activities accurately by updating incident logs, work orders, and support tickets; contribute to wiring diagrams and equipment records.
  • Collaborate with Field Team Members, Satellite Operations, and Technology teams to ensure uninterrupted service and consistent broadcast quality.
  • Support preparation of transmitter and activity logs, and assist in compliance-related reporting including telemetry analysis.
  • Make adjustments to Network Operations Center equipment and settings to support uptime, under direction.
  • May participate in scheduled shift coverage, on-call rotations, and event-based escalation support, as assigned.
  • Engage proactively with teammates, supporting a cooperative team environment and contributing to shared goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Here's what we're looking for in a Network Systems Technician..

  • Associate degree in IT Networking or Broadcast Technology preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable competence with basic principles of broadcast technology and network operations.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for effective asynchronous communication.
  • Ability to follow direction, provide status updates, and complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to approach troubleshooting iteratively and communicate clearly about technical issues.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to learning and team integration.
  • Strong organizational habits and self-motivation to manage work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to mentorship and development through hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the values and mission of the Ministry.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/Ministry relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
