This role will be on-site at our Franklin, TN offices
Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Supervise the Accounts Payable function and team, including:
- Provide training for Accounts Payable Specialists in systems, procedures, processes, and technology; ensuring the team is equipped and the department is compliant with security, legal and ministry guidelines.
- Provide day-to-day management of Accounts Payable Specialists. Approve time sheets, employee attendance, paid time off, sick time, vacations and overtime.
- Direct Accounts Payable Specialists in processing invoices and payments.
- Review entered invoices and other expenditures for accuracy.
- Donation Processing:
- Provide training for team members in systems, procedures, processes, and technology; ensuring the team is equipped and the department is compliant with security, legal and ministry guidelines.
- Provide day to day management of team. Approve time sheets, employee attendance, paid time off, sick time, vacations, and overtime.
- Supervise Donation and Accounts Receivable Processing Specialist.
- Reconcile daily deposits in Salesforce from the various payment processors to deposits received at the bank.
- Ensure that deposits are recorded appropriately in Salesforce and the ERP, and that appropriate back-up is saved.
- Ensure that timely and accurate recording of adjustments to donation revenue, including chargebacks, debit, and credit adjustments, and returned checks.
- Responsible for reviewing and processing donor refund requests.
- Maintain tracking of gifts given to the endowment and initiate requests to transfer the funds.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Responsible for adhering to the Accounts Receivable policy.
- Monitor and record daily deposits received in multiple bank accounts.
- Generate monthly invoices for Underwriting and Leasing teams.
- Record and reconcile Underwriting revenue in the ERP.
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies and internal controls.
- Assist as necessary with audits of the ministry’s financial statements

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or combination of education/training with relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Previous experience supervising team members preferred.
- Prior experience using accounting software (Oracle NetSuite, Medius, Salesforce).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
- A collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
