In this role, you'll work alongside our pastoral team and content partners, guiding the creation and curation of content that resonates with our audience’s spiritual needs and life journeys. This role will be on-site at our Franklin, TN office.
Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Develop and maintain clear pathways for our Pastoral Care content streams, with constant updates based upon organizational or cultural shifts.
- Develop multi-media, multi-platform content methods to engage our audience spiritually through prayer, Scripture (VOTD), church connections and other means as organizationally integrated.
- Develop and maintain a content strategy that supports the vision and direction of the Pastoral Care leadership and EMF strategic plan.
- Oversee all content user journeys to ensure best experience for audience’s spiritual engagement experience
- Maintain an understanding of the “voice” and personas of each of our EMF brands with the ability to teach the team to communicate within each “voice” or persona.
- Pursue and maintain methods to learn and understanding the EMF audience and their content needs, while maintaining a finger on the pulse of content trends (ie. google search trends, top content platforms with hot topics, etc.)
- Possess and maintain working knowledge of our EMF brand demographics
- Maintain a “finger on the pulse” of our caller’s needs/dynamics, our audience needs/dynamics and cultural needs/dynamics to aide in establishing contents needs, structure and priorities.
- Establish writing and content production requirements and timelines as well as operational content flows
- Work with the pastoral care operations managers to schedule structured time for assignments as needed
- Issue writing and content assignments to the team that mirrors the streams and strategy of content.
- Develop a plan and strategy to support the Pastoral team with training opportunities to continue to grow in writing skills, as needed
- Engage with partner content mirroring contract/agreement parameters to curate content for our audience while communicating content needs to content partners.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on content performance, and strategies with metrics and data to inform Director and Chief of Ministry/Pastoral Care board reports.
- Develop and oversee content campaigns that enhance or support organizational endeavors
- Research and prepare discussion topics for listeners in conjunction with ministry needs.
- Participate in event and outreach initiatives off-campus as requested and approved.
- Contribute to an environment in which the EMF Ministry Department will grow as the EMF audiences grows. Continually seek new resources and groups that will help expand the department’s mission to provide spiritual help and resources to the audience.
- Seek new and creative ways to impact the K-LOVE audience through content within the current and anticipated K-LOVE platforms
We are looking for a very specific skill set. If you can say yes to each of these requirements, then we want to meet you!
- Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies, philosophy, theology or another applicable degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Has been Licensed and/or Ordained with a recognized Christian church or denomination and have recognition from the State and the Internal Revenue Service as a Pastor.
- At least six (6) years of pastoral and/or Christian ministry experience handling a wide range of ministry functions, or equivalent education and experience.
- Equipped with the knowledge of appropriate research, trends, analysis or studying methods in order to adequately research and understand audience/explorer needs and communicate findings effectively.
- Demonstrated originality and creativity in responding to various difficulties and situations that may arise in the Christian Content field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and value others; communicate effectively; focus on the listener; and collaborate with others.
- Able to work independently, problem solve and be flexible as the field is constantly changing.
- Possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize project effectively as well as various types of verbal/written communication with accuracy and excellence.
- Strong writing skills, with prior experiences writing articles, blogs, reports (must be able to provide writing samples upon request).
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Social Media forums and smart devices.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative atmosphere. Must be as Critical Thinker. Must be able to deal with short timelines on requests for assignments.
