This role will be at our new Franklin, TN Headquarters
Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- As primarily an audio producer, complete full cycle of production projects to include originating creative ideas, project planning, copywriting, and audio (voicing and/or working with voice talent).
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of K-LOVE and Air1 brands, specific sounds, and style required to reach our listeners.
- Work closely with internal and external clients incorporating feedback and copy points to create audio that effectively communicates and connects to the target audiences of EMF Broadcasting and its affiliates. Ensure proactive and clear communication with clients on expectations, vision of projects, target audience, and desired outcome.
- Conceptualize, write and produce professional quality audio content for EMF Broadcasting. Complete daily copywriting and audio production work, including, but not limited to conceptualizing, voicing and assembling of audio pieces.
- Work with Traffic department to ensure that spots move effectively through the production workflow, making suggestions and adjustments as necessary to ensure that each spot is appropriately produced.
- Make daily production order assignments to direct reports and ensure that workloads are as balanced as possible across the team.
- Check the progress of orders being produced by direct reports to ensure completion within expected deadlines. This includes helping move orders along past any hurdles or delays that may be outside of the producers’ sphere of influence.
- Hold regular team and one-on-one check-ins with team members to ensure all are on the same page, build team unity, and to discuss topics germane to our work.
- Hold regular Performance Conversations to check progress on past performance goals and set new ones.
- Approve vacation and time off requests from direct reports.
- Utilize Pro Tools recording/editing software for audio projects that include basic use of multiple tracks, audio plug-ins, compression, EQ, automation and other professional features, techniques, and practices. Projects should contain “high production value,” continue to raise the bar, and show consistency in meeting departmental and network standards.
- Proactively stay current on audio and social trends, be on the forefront of what’s modern, and look for ways to creatively set a new industry standard (Learn, Improve, and Grow).
- Proactively expand and encourage great relationships throughout the organization with every interaction. Be a positive representation of the department and brands.
- Consistently deliver a high level of customer service.
- Complete other duties as assigned by manager. Work often requires a flexible schedule, especially during Pledge Drive.
- Represent K-LOVE and Air 1 professionally and with ministry-focused communications.
We are looking for a very specific skill set. If you can say yes to each of these requirements, then we want to meet you!
- Bachelor’s Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in broadcasting or comparable professional experience in full cycle audio production as well as copywriting.
- Mastery of Pro Tools, Scott Studios, and other software programs required.
- Local and/or national voice work required (radio or television).
- Solid relationship building skills with the ability to partner with team members and leadership to move projects forward.
- Ability to set, achieve and track goals with minimal direction is required; ability to exemplify a positive attitude in all interactions with the ability to build and maintain appropriate rapport.
- Ability to thrive in a team-environment, while projecting professionalism in all interactions both internally and externally.
- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment of competing priorities is essential.
- A collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
