Are you looking to jumpstart your career in event planning, administrative support, or ministry development?
The Engagement Events Team in our Ministry is offering an exciting internship opportunity where you’ll get to work behind the scenes, supporting our mission while gaining valuable, real-world experience. As an intern, you’ll have the chance to dive into a variety of hands-on tasks, from event coordination to administrative support, all while contributing to a community-focused environment.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in assisting with both internal operations and community outreach. You’ll be directly involved in the organization of our department’s cultural events and meetings—helping to bring together staff, volunteers, and community members for engaging and impactful gatherings. Whether it’s helping plan and execute department events or contributing creative ideas for meaningful celebrations, you’ll gain valuable experience in event management and team collaboration.
You’ll also be tasked with helping organize important details for events—such as managing and updating our inventory and assisting with the creation and distribution of event invitations. From sending out RSVPs to ensuring that all logistics are in place for smooth event execution, this internship offers you a chance to sharpen both your administrative and event-planning skills. You will also assist with thoughtful and intentional tasks, such as purchasing birthday gifts and acknowledging milestones within our team—helping to foster a positive and supportive culture.
In addition to day-to-day tasks, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer and the Events Manager. By supporting them with various projects, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how the development team operates and contributes to the broader ministry. As you help with their initiatives, you’ll not only learn about the importance of effective communication and coordination but also gain insights into the higher-level operations that drive our ministry’s success.
One of the most exciting parts of this internship is the opportunity to work on a capstone project. While you ultimately get to choose your project, we have envisioned a project focused on invitation creation, RSVP management, and the coordination of event communications—giving you the chance to use your creativity while enhancing your skills in both event management and administrative tasks. You’ll get the chance to make a real impact on how our team connects with the community and further streamlines our event processes.
This internship is perfect for someone who is organized, enthusiastic about ministry, and passionate about helping others. If you're a motivated individual with an interest in event planning, administrative work, and community engagement, this is the ideal opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to a vibrant and caring team. Join us to gain valuable experience, build your network, and play a key role in supporting the mission of our Engagement team within our Ministry!
