Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Administrative Paralegal provides high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the Legal Department functions with excellence, professionalism, and alignment to the mission of the Ministry. This role is a role combing paralegal duties with those of an executive assistant and is responsible for supporting the legal function through legal research, document management, and administrative coordination. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, along with exceptional organizational and communication skills. The Administrative Paralegal provides direct support to the entire legal team including attorneys, clients and other legal professionals to ensure legal and operational excellence within the Ministry.

This is an in-office role at our Franklin, TN Headquarters.
Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Legal Support:
- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed to support cases, contracts, and compliance matters.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist with case management and preparation.
- Manage legal databases and information systems.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the entire legal team, including attorneys, contract administrators, leasing managers and professionals.
- Manage special projects and documents.
- Maintain schedules and managing calendars.
- Handle correspondence and communications.
- Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements and team spending.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Prepare reports and presentations.
- Client Relations:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Ensure that clients' needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with litigation support tasks, such as document organization and discovery.
- Prepare legal documents for filing.
- Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

- Recommended Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies or a related field
- Paralegal certification or equivalent training in legal procedures is strongly preferred.
- NALA or NFPA Paralegal Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting executive-level leadership in legal, corporate, or nonprofit environments.
- Experience supporting a General Counsel, CLO, or similar senior legal executive within a values-based or mission-driven organization preferred.
- Committed to in-person service as a reflection of Ministry support, team culture, and collaboration.
- Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and terminology.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
- Administrative Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, as well as strong administrative skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct legal research and gather information efficiently.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using legal technology and software.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
