Overview

Reporting to the Engagement Data Analyst III, the Engagement Data Analyst I is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to support data-informed decision-making across cross-functional teams.

 

This role supports the development of dashboards and data products, ensuring consistency and quality in reporting and insights

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights.
  • Communicate data insights and findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support decision-making.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide relevant analysis.
  • Support data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Development Communications, Fundraising, and Technology—to improve data-driven processes and strategies.
  • Document analytical processes and methodologies for consistency and transparency.
  • Report to and receive guidance from the Engagement Data Analyst III to align on priorities and deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

We are looking for a very specific skill set and business acumen. If you can say yes to each of these requirements, then we want to meet you!

  • Minimum of 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or Snowflake for querying databases.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data modeling techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
  • Strong self-management abilities required in order to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent ministry professionally and maintain listener confidentiality.
