We are seeking a versatile and technically skilled Video Director / DP who operates with both creative vision and hands-on execution across a wide range of production types, from nimble, single-camera shoots to multi-camera productions with full crews and custom-built sets.
This role is the creative lead on individual projects and works closely with Producers to align business goals with compelling video execution. You will be responsible for shaping the visual identity of each show, leveraging your deep expertise in lighting, camera operation, composition, and aesthetic, to bring visually stunning ideas in brand identity for shows and podcasts to life.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Manage multiple creative projects at different stages of production at once.
- Work with Producers to understand business needs and develops elevated production solutions for podcasting, narrative, and music industry centered content.
- Oversee, develop, and create pre-production documents such as treatments, set designs, lighting plots, shot lists aligned to concepts.
- Lead and attend meetings such as pitches, screenings, budget planning, concept presentations, project updates and shoot debriefs.
- Lead and direct all aspects of video production - from single camera to large multi camera setups with crew on set and maintain a strong leadership presence.
- Regularly pitch visual concept within our means, resources, and access.
- Capture video through filming with the edit in mind. Know what shots are needed for the final product to be pieced together by the editor.
- Design and implement lighting setupsthat enhance brand tone, whether working with a full crew or as a one-man band.
- Show confidence while speaking directly to clients
- Ensure the production details are in place for smooth and organized production for all in-progress projects.
- Ensure all footage is captured at high standards, properly backed up, and handed off cleanly to post-production.
- Work flexibly between high-end shoots and budget-conscious environments, scaling gear and crew as needed.
- Scout locations and pre-plan setups for optimal lighting, sound, and staging.
- Collaborate with set designers and art teams to develop, build, and light sets that reflect the client's visual identity and story
- Regularly screen released content and document creative improvement opportunities.
- Keep abreast with industry trends (YT, Social, Digital), best practices, and standards including storytelling techniques and creative process innovations. Keep up to date with digital technologies around media production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge in technical switching and back-end routing a plus - operating and directing multi - camera switchers(hardware or software-based) during live or live-to-tape interviews and broadcasts.

- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in film and/or TV industry and video production industry, preferred with an emphasis in directing talent and leading creative from concept to completion.
- Deep working knowledge in all areas listed below and knowledgeable across all film production related disciplines including:
- Ability to speak the language of modern practices of production, talent communications, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to meticulously refine, re-event the way the conversation si being conveyed cinematically, taking interest in the physical aspect of creating art.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Deep understanding of established and emerging trends in content consumption and audience habits.
- Working knowledge of how video content reaches an audience.
- Exemplary organizational skills and the ability to direct multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Attention to creative and technical details, comfortable with multi-tasking, willingness to take ownership of team projects and picture the end-product during pre-production phase.
- Ability to effectively transmit ideas, work independently, and as a team leader, present self in a highly professional manner, instilling confidence, and trust within the team.
- Possesses creativity, flexibility, and an enthusiasm with an ability to lead on set.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate verbally, especially with requestors who are not necessarily aware of the video creation process.
