The Human Resources Generalist III is an experienced human resources professional responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to team members and leaders across the Ministry. This role requires expertise in employee relations, compliance, onboarding, orientation, HRIS administration, and HR operations. The HR Generalist III serves as the first point of contact for HR related questions or concerns.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Serve as the primary administrative resource for the HR team, including, but not limited to: development of correspondence for both confidential and non-confidential matters regarding people operations and employee relations processes.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR related questions or concerns – redirecting team members and elevating issues as appropriate. Clearly and positively communicate solutions with exceptional follow through. Effectively and efficiently route and answer questions within scope of knowledge and authority.
- Enter and maintain team member data within the HRIS system, ensuring a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and timeliness with internal standards. This includes keying new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and other changes to team member status.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth transition for team members into the Ministry and promoting engagement from day one.
- Ensure the organization of team member files; maintain confidential records, I-9 documents, and other related employment documentation.
- Support the HR Ministry Manager with conducting investigations into team member complaints, policy violations, worker’s compensation investigations, vehicle accidents, and other workplace issues, ensuring thorough documentation in the Ministry’s case management system.
- Advise leaders on corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and performance support procedures in alignment with Ministry policies and legal requirements.
- Partner with payroll to submit Team Member vacation cash out requests, retro-pay amounts, bonus payments (i.e., relocation, sign on, or discretionary bonus amounts).
- Maintain list of active team members on the Ministry Driver’s Insurance policy. Notifying vendor of changes.
- Partner with the HR team as needed for Leave of Absences, Workers Compensation, Disability, Unemployment, Employment Verifications, EEO reporting, Public Student Loan Forgiveness, and other related projects.
- Partner with the HR Ministry Manager on exit paperwork and interviews.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and other HR team members to support Ministry initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in the administration of the compliance portal, Navex, where team members acknowledge policies and trainings.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years focused on employee relations.
- Proficiency in HRIS system (ADP preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and HR reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience facilitating onboarding and orientation programs for new team members.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills for building genuine business/ministry relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ministry-focused, with a sense of urgency and exceptional follow-through.
- Adaptable and positive, maintaining productivity amid change.
- Professional representation of Ministry and team members, ensuring confidentiality.
