Join the Network Operations Center (NOC) team at EMF, where you'll play a key role in monitoring and optimizing our radio networks. As a NOC Technician, you’ll work alongside Engineers, ensuring compliance with FCC guidelines and delivering top-tier quality through proactive communication with both equipment and personnel. All of this takes place from our dynamic and fast-paced EMF Headquarters. If you're ready to make an impact in the world of broadcast operations, we want to hear from you!

Here's some of what you will be doing:

  • RF Broadcast Network Monitoring & Support
    • Monitor and interpret transmitter signals using remote control systems, analyzing audible or visible alerts that indicate transmitter status, signal loss, or equipment faults across K-LOVE’s broadcast facilities.
    • Verify daily transmitter and activity logs, ensuring delivery integrity and logging compliance; prepare additional reports such as telemetry analysis to support operational oversight.
    • Use basic troubleshooting skills to triage, isolate, and remotely restore functionality of RF broadcast equipment, including satellite receivers, EAS systems, audio processors, and STL/TSL links.
    • Perform proactive and corrective actions to resolve detected issues or escalate appropriately to Field or Contract Engineers when necessary.
    • Coordinate actively with Engineering teams to support the remote testing, configuration, or repair of broadcast systems, including RF control systems and satellite-fed equipment.
    • Adjust NOC monitoring equipment and systems as needed to maintain uninterrupted broadcast service.
    • Create database scripts for RF broadcast equipment that accommodates for equipment replacement as well as new site builds.
  • Network Infrastructure Monitoring & Support
    • Monitor internal IT systems and infrastructure, including routers, switches, servers, firewalls, and cloud-based services using network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Kybio).
    • Respond to system alerts related to connectivity, latency, packet loss, or hardware resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage), ensuring swift response to minimize downtime.
    • Troubleshoot basic Layer 1–3 issues, such as physical connectivity, IP conflicts, or interface errors.
    • Support up time for core IT services, including DNS, DHCP, VoIP, file servers, and remote access systems.
    • Assist with preventive maintenance tracking, leveraging logs, alarms, and trend analysis to prevent service-impacting issues.
  • Incident Management & Communication
    • Create, update, and close work orders accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with incident response and ticketing procedures.
    • Document events and technical resolutions in shift logs and dashboards to ensure smooth transition between shifts and accurate reporting.
    • Follow established escalation procedures, ensuring timely notification and coordination with Engineering or management teams for unresolved or critical issues.
    • Participate in incident reviews and knowledge sharing, contributing insights to improve system reliability and team effectiveness.

Here's some experience we are seeking:
